About Me
Thanks for reading my blog! I am currently working towards my Masters in Conflict Resolution at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Since this degree is technically an Interdisciplinary Studies degree, I have built a courseload that includes work in counseling, adult education, conflict theory and mediation training. I will graduate in Spring 2009!
Outside of school, I work part-time as a facilitator at Challenge Discovery, a teambuilding company/ropes course in Doswell, VA. I enjoy this side of conflict resolution the best: the preventative side that helps build bonds between people and helps individuals come to a greater understanding of themselves, which often prevents conflict, or at least helps resolve it. I also work as a manager at Leonardo’s Pizza. I am eternally grateful to the owners, who have employed me since high school and have been so wonderfully flexible that I have been able to pursue my degree, travel all over the world and still have a paycheck.
In my everyday life, I enjoy my large and wonderful family (especially my 2 nieces!), reading, hula hooping, traveling, and volunteer work. I am very active with Habitat for Humanity and Caritas.

I didn’t know that Hula Hooping was a verb.
